چکیده
We conducted online electronic searches (published manuscripts in English) of the Cochrane Library, pub med and manual searches of selected specialty journals to identify any pertinent literature. The search was conducted using the key words ‘celiac disease’, ‘gluten related disorder’, ‘non celiac gluten sensitivity’, ‘wheat allergy’, ‘gluten’, , ‘gluten free diet’. Studies not published in English or published only in the abstract form were excluded. We also conducted a focused review of available references to identify subsequent pertinent papers. Abstract

Gluten - Not a Friendly Protein
Introduction: Gluten is a protein found in grains. Research has shown that the gluten that is in grains of wheat, barley, rye, and oats (to a lesser degree) is toxic to many individuals. While gluten is essential for the make-up of these 4 grains, our bodies do not need it. Is it healthful? The protein in today’s wheat is poorly digested and can be harmful. متن کاملReactivity to dietary gluten: new insights into differential diagnosis among gluten‑related gastrointestinal disorders.
The ingestion of dietary gluten sometimes may trigger allergic, autoimmune or nonallergic and nonautoimmune response. The typical gluten‑related allergic disorder is the wheat allergy (WA). Celiac disease (CD) is a well‑known gluten‑related autoimmune condition. The clinical expression of a gluten‑related nonallergic and nonautoimmune response is nonceliac gluten sensitivity (NCGS), an emerging...
متن کاملUsing a Gluten-Free Diet in Integrated Therapy of Autism Spectrum Disorders in Children: A Clinical Case
Currently, many studies show the effectiveness of elimination (gluten-free and case-free) diets in correcting not only the symptoms of gastrointestinal disorders in patients with autism but also in correcting behavioral indicators. The results of the inclusion of gluten and case free diets were analyzed in the complex of therapeutic measures in a child with autism spectrum disorders. The ...

متن کاملOral proteases: a new approach to managing coeliac disease.
A life-long but constraining gluten-free diet is the only treatment currently available for coeliac disease. The human gastrointestinal tract does not possess the enzymatic equipment to efficiently cleave the gluten-derived proline-rich peptides driving the abnormal immune intestinal response in patients with coeliac disease. Oral therapy by exogenous prolylendopeptidases able to digest ingeste...
